Outreach Specialist

  • Working with multiple members of an integrated research, outreach and instructional team seeking to improve the feed efficiency of lactating dairy cows. Responsible for the collection, and maintenance of phenotypic data obtained from cattle housed at the UW herd, as well as the herds at off-campus collaborators. Assist and gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from commercial dairy farms regarding feeding strategies and nutritional grouping of animals. Promote grouping and other strategies to increase dairy cattle feed efficiency.
